Commissioned copper panels
This kitchen was a true collaboration between the client, interior designer and artist craftsperson, Judith Greaves Maxwell, owner of THE WORKS in San Antonio. There has been a tradition in San Antonio, starting with the late Lynn Ford, who worked in wood, glass and metal, adorning the architecture of his brother, the late O’Neil Ford. Isaac Maxwell was part of the next generation to carry on this tradition which has now been passed to Judith. Our client wanted an oriental theme in her kitchen, different from the tradition of past designs. Using the cabinet doors as Japanese screens, Judith created these panels in copper and silver solder.
